An anagram solver for every word in your letters.
An anagram solver rearranges a set of letters to find every word they can spell. Type the tiles on your rack and this anagram solver unscrambles them against a dictionary of more than 170,000 words in a fraction of a second. Whether you are stuck on a Scrabble board, hunting a seven-letter bingo in Words With Friends, or simply unscrambling a jumble, the anagram solver returns a clean, ranked list of every anagram — no guessing, no scrolling through junk.

How to unscramble letters in four steps.
Enter the letters to unscramble
Type the letters on your rack into the anagram solver — up to fifteen at a time. Order does not matter; the solver treats them as a pool of tiles and finds every arrangement that forms a real word. Upper or lower case both work, and spaces are ignored, so you can unscramble straight from your board.
Add blank tiles with ?
Have a blank tile? Type a question mark for each one and the anagram solver unscrambles around the wildcard. A rack like S T A R ? matches any word that uses those four letters plus one blank, so you will see plays such as STRAP, TSARS and START. You can hold up to three blanks at once.
Filter the unscrambled words
Narrow a long list of anagrams fast. Set an exact word length, require a letter the word must contain, or lock the first and last letters to fit an open space on the board. The anagram solver updates instantly as you adjust each filter.

Anagrams and unscrambling, explained.

What is an anagram?
An anagram is a word or phrase made by rearranging the letters of another, using each letter exactly once. LISTEN and SILENT are anagrams; so are STRESSED and DESSERTS. An anagram solver automates that rearranging, checking every possible order of your letters against a dictionary.
In word games the term is used more loosely. Players call any jumble of tiles an “anagram” and try to unscramble it into a scoring word — sometimes using every letter, sometimes only a handful. That is exactly the job this anagram solver does, and it does it exhaustively so you never miss a word.
Anagram solver vs. word unscrambler
An anagram solver and a word unscrambler describe the same thing. Both take a jumble of letters and return the words those letters can spell. If you have searched for a word unscrambler, you have searched for an anagram solver.
The only real difference is scope. Some tools return only words that use every letter — true anagrams. A game-focused anagram solver like this one also unscrambles shorter words that use a subset of your tiles, because a well-placed four-letter play often beats holding out for the perfect seven.
Is using an anagram solver cheating?
It depends on how you play. In a friendly or solo game, an anagram solver is a study aid — it teaches you the words, hooks and blank-tile patterns that strong players already know by heart. Used between turns, it is one of the fastest ways to build a word-game vocabulary.
In sanctioned tournament play, outside help is not allowed. Most people reach for an anagram solver to practice, to settle a dispute over whether a word is real, and to learn — which is exactly what we would recommend.
Which dictionary does the anagram solver use?
This anagram solver unscrambles your letters against the public-domain ENABLE word list, a widely used North American reference. It includes short, high-value words such as QI, ZA and EX that are easy to forget, plus the longer bingos that clear your rack for a fifty-point bonus.
The Scrabble word finder and the Words With Friends cheat use the same words but score tiles differently, so a word that scores well in one may not in the other. When it matters, confirm the anagram inside your own game.
Anagram racks worth memorising.
Some letter sets famously unscramble into several everyday words. These are the anagrams every player should recognise on sight.
Playing all seven tiles earns a fifty-point bonus. These vowel-heavy racks unscramble into multiple bingos, which makes the anagrams worth learning cold.
The fastest way to raise your average is memorising the short words the anagram solver surfaces — they let you play into tight spaces and dump awkward tiles. High-value two-letter plays include:
A Q with no U beside it is not a dead end. These anagrams let you unload the trickiest tile in the bag without a matching vowel:
