What is a Scrabble word finder?
A Scrabble word finder takes the tiles on your rack and
finds every legal Scrabble word you can play with them, each one tagged with
its Scrabble score. Type up to fifteen letters — including blank tiles as
? — and the finder lists your options grouped by length, longest
first. Switch the sort to By score and the highest-value
Scrabble word jumps to the top, so you never leave points on the board.

Every Scrabble word
The Scrabble word finder scans the full tournament word list, so nothing playable slips past — from two-letter lifesavers to rack-clearing bingos.
Scrabble scores built in
Every word shows its Scrabble tile value, so you can spot the highest-scoring play at a glance and cash in your Q, Z, X and J.
Blanks & hooks
Play your blank with a ?, then use the starts-with and ends-with filters to hook a Scrabble word onto the board.

Score more with the Scrabble word finder
A high-scoring rack is not always the longest word — placement and tile value decide the game.
- Chase the bingo. Playing all seven tiles earns a fifty-point bonus; scan the longest group first.
- Bank the big tiles. Q, Z, X and J score the most — the finder surfaces the Scrabble words that use them well.
- Learn the two-letter words. QI, ZA and EX turn a blocked board into points and let you play parallel.
- Play the bonus squares. A short Scrabble word on a triple-letter or word square can beat a longer play elsewhere.

The two-letter words that win Scrabble games
Ask any tournament player and they will tell you the fastest way to raise your Scrabble average is memorising the short words. They let you play into tight spaces, dump awkward tiles, and score two directions at once.
Two-letter words are the glue of the board. Because they play parallel to an existing word, a single two-letter placement can form several new words at right angles — one turn, many scores. High-value two-letter plays such as QI, ZA, XU, JO and EX turn otherwise useless tiles into double-digit turns.
Three-letter words extend your reach. They hook onto letters already on the board and open new lanes. The finder lists every two- and three-letter word your rack can make, so you can always find a legal play even when the board is jammed. Playing the other game? The same short words score differently in the Words With Friends cheat.
Hooks multiply everything. Adding one letter to the front or back of a word on the board — an S on the end, a re- on the front — scores the whole new word plus your placement. Use the starts-with and ends-with filters to find the exact hook that fits an open square.
Scrabble word finder vs. Words With Friends
Scrabble and Words With Friends share almost the same words but score tiles differently, so the best play changes between them. This Scrabble word finder defaults to Scrabble points; if you play the other game, use the Words With Friends cheat for WWF tile values instead.

Scrabble word finder questions, answered.
How does the Scrabble word finder work?
Enter the tiles on your rack and the Scrabble word finder checks them against the word list, returning every playable word with its Scrabble score. Sort by score to push the biggest plays to the top.
Does the Scrabble word finder use blank tiles?
Yes. Type a question mark for each blank. The finder tries every letter in that spot and shows the Scrabble words you can play; blanks score zero points, exactly as in the game.
How are the Scrabble scores calculated?
Each word is valued using standard Scrabble tile points — Q and Z are 10, J and X are 8, blanks are 0, and so on. Board bonuses such as double- and triple-word squares depend on placement and are not included.
Are all the Scrabble words tournament-legal?
The Scrabble word finder uses a widely used North American word list, so most results are valid in sanctioned play. Always confirm with your game's official dictionary, since TWL and Collins differ slightly.
What are the best tiles to keep in Scrabble?
Keep balanced racks with common letters like S, E, R and blanks, which combine into the most words. The Scrabble word finder helps you see which plays your current tiles unlock.
Is the Scrabble word finder free?
Yes. The Scrabble word finder, blank tiles, filters and scoring are all free, with no account and no limit on how many racks you look up.
What are the two-letter words in Scrabble?
There are around 100 valid two-letter Scrabble words, including high-value plays like QI and ZA. Memorising them lets you play parallel to existing words and score two directions at once. Enter a short rack in the finder to see the two-letter options.
How do I play a bingo in Scrabble?
A bingo uses all seven tiles for a fifty-point bonus. Hold balanced racks, keep an S and a blank when you can, and use the Scrabble word finder to check whether your seven tiles form a seven-letter word before you break them up.
Does the finder account for double and triple word squares?
No — those bonuses depend on where you place a word on the board, which changes every turn. The finder gives you the word and its base tile score; you decide where to play it for the multiplier.
